Sober Living & Recovery Housing
The Center of Open Hands Community Development Corp is preparing to launch a Sober Living / Recovery Housing program designed to offer adults in recovery a safe, stable, and sober place to call home. This upcoming program will provide a caring community where residents can heal, grow, and rebuild their lives with support.
Our vision is a welcoming, recovery-focused home where every resident is treated with dignity, encouraged to pursue their goals, and supported in maintaining long-term sobriety.
What Our Sober Living / Recovery Housing Will Offer
When it launches, the Sober Living / Recovery Housing program will provide a safe, structured, and supportive home environment for adults in recovery from addiction. It will not be a treatment center, but a stable place to practice sober living in everyday life with encouragement from others on a similar path.
- Safe, sober housing — A drug- and alcohol-free home with clear expectations, house guidelines, and shared responsibility.
- Supportive daily structure — Routines that encourage healthy habits, personal responsibility, and accountability.
- Peer community — Encouragement, accountability, and friendship from others who understand the journey of recovery.
- Life skills development — Opportunities to build and practice skills like budgeting, cooking, cleaning, time management, and job readiness.
- Connection to resources — Support in connecting with counseling, medical and mental health care, support groups, workforce development, and other community services.
- Hope-filled environment — A culture of dignity, grace, and belief in each person’s potential for lasting change.
Who This Program Will Serve
The Sober Living / Recovery Housing program is being developed for adults in recovery who are committed to living substance-free and ready for a stable, supportive environment, including:
- Adults in recovery from addiction who desire a safe, sober place to live.
- Individuals transitioning from detox, residential treatment, or intensive outpatient programs.
- People rebuilding their lives after seasons of instability who would benefit from structure, support, and community.
- Those who want peer support, accountability, and connection as they work toward long-term sobriety.
- Community members referred by treatment providers, hospitals, courts, faith communities, or local partners.
Please note: Applications for this program are not yet open. Details about eligibility and the application process will be shared once the home is ready to welcome residents.
